Nerida Fraiman is widely credited with sparking the fascinator trend back in 1998. The idea was borne when working for Philip Treacy and noticing how much detail and creativity went into making the trimmings for the hats. She later formed her own atelier on the idea of using just that exquisite trim on a headband, comb or other fixing.
